Willenhall maintained their 100% unbeaten record with a comfortable 4~0 win over
second placed Tamworth based side Cottage Farm.

Cottage Farm in their tango style orange & blue kit started the game with only
10 players and Willenhall tried to make the numerical advantage count as early
as the first minute, but Abi Riley fired wide from a Rachel Knisis pass.
Stacey Parkes through ball was collected comfortably by the Farm keeper on 7
minutes, but a minute later Jo Byrne put the Reds a head with a delightful left
foot shot on the turn.
Lesley White’s stunning cross was headed over the bar by Jo Byrne on 10 minutes
and Jo shot wide after being put through by Abi Riley.
Tara Martin shot over the bar on 20 minutes and five minutes later Jo Byrne put
Willenhall 2~0 up with a fine effort.
Rachel Knisis drilled a shot wide and then Jo Byrne fluffed a chance of getting
a hat-trick on 28 minutes firing over and Abi Riley had a shot saved after being
set up by Lauren Jones.
Cottage Farm brought on their missing player on the half hour after she had
completed her punishment for being late by running a lap of the pitch.
Jo Byrne completed her hat-trick on 35 minutes after Lesley Whites initial right
foot shot fell into her path and little Jo slotted home to put the game beyond
doubt and the hosts 3~0 up at the break.

Rachel Knisis shot wide on 46 minutes and then Tara Martin headed over on 50
minutes as the Reds began to look for more goals.
Jodie Allen replaced Becky Jones on 54 minutes and slotted into the left side of
midfield.
Abi Riley shot wide on 59 minutes and Rachel Knisis shot wide on 65 minutes
after being played in by Stacey Parkes.
Lesley White was determined to get on the score sheet and fired over the bar on
68 minutes and then straight at the keeper on 73. A minute later a venomous shot
by Abi Riley rattled the crossbar and bounced to safety after some excellent
approach play by Jodie Allen
Abi Riley then completed the victory on 86 minutes slotting the ball home after
a sensational ball by Jodie Allen.
